How it All Started
In 2021, a group of 28 choral enthusiasts united to bring the community together for a concert, the first since the COVID-19 pandemic a year prior. Initially, there was no intention of this becoming a continuously existing choir, but the joy and sense of community it restored in the wake of the uncertainty and isolation of the pandemic reignited a desire to uplift friends and neighbors through song. It quickly became clear that this gathering of singers had become an organization.
How We’ve Grown
Now, more than five years later, over 100 community members of all ages and backgrounds have sung in over 30 concerts and other events.
40 singers participated in our tri-state tour, which included concerts in New York City, Rhode Island, and Boston. In the fall of 2023, we became a 501(c)3 nonprofit foundation, dedicated to building community through the power of song.

Come sing with us!
We warmly invite all singers 14 and older, with any level of experience, to join us. While we do have a lot of fun, preparing for concerts takes time and commitment. We have a limited number of rehearsals, so you must be self-motivated to practice and learn the music at home in order to be prepared.
Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings at Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomsburg, leading up to our major concert dates. Other than our Spring and Fall concerts, there are additional opportunities available to represent the Bloomsburg Singers and perform in our community throughout the year.
